In the early days of Pedroncelli, founder John Pedroncelli Sr. crafted wine from whatever the vineyard offered — one honest, unpretentious red blend, made barrel by barrel in a small corner of Sonoma County. Neighbors and friends would make their way down our dusty road near Geyserville, bringing empty jugs and leaving with a gallon or two of John’s red. What mattered most wasn’t the label or the grape — it was the simple joy of good wine shared in good company, a spirit that continues to define us nearly a century later.
As the years passed, our family’s craft evolved, and so did the wines. Mountain Red, Claret, Burgundy, Sauternes, Sonoma Red, Sonoma White — each name marking a new chapter in our story, each bottle a reflection of the time, the place, and the people behind it. Through challenges, harvests, and generations, blending remained our art form — a way of capturing balance, flavor, and the character of Sonoma County in every pour.
Today, that legacy lives on in Friends Red and Friends White — modern expressions of a timeless idea. These wines embody everything we’ve learned about winemaking and everything we love about sharing it. They’re approachable yet expressive, crafted for the table, and made to bring people together. Because at Pedroncelli, we’ve always believed that great wine isn’t about complexity — it’s about connection. And every bottle begins and ends with friends.
